Magnetix Pulse — Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Android game Magnetix Pulse (the "app") processes, why, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it.
Magnetix Pulse is provided by Serkan Ünek under the Smart Magnet Studios brand. Data controller: Serkan Ünek, Premier Kampus, Ofis No: 29, Ofis 84, Kağıthane / İstanbul, Türkiye. Contact: support@magnetixpulse.com. Smart Magnet Studios is a brand operated by Serkan Ünek.
1. In short
- You can play as a guest without an account; your progress then stays on your device only.
- If you create an account (e-mail and password, Google or Facebook sign-in), your account details and in-game social data are stored on our servers.
- The public leaderboard never shows your real name, your e-mail address or the name from your sign-in provider. It shows a random alias the system generates (e.g. "NovaOtter-4821").
- The app shows ads. If you have not chosen an age range, or chose 7–12, ads are requested with child-safe settings and are never personalized.
- You can permanently delete your account from inside the app at any time (see Account deletion).
2. Data we process
2.1 Account data (only if you create an account)
Sign-in uses Google's Firebase Authentication. Depending on the sign-in method we process your e-mail address, display name, account ID (UID), and account creation and last sign-in times. With an e-mail account, your password is stored only by Firebase Authentication (hashed); we cannot see it. With Google sign-in, your Google account name and e-mail are passed to Firebase. With Facebook sign-in, your Facebook account name and e-mail (if you allow it) are passed to Firebase.
2.2 Player profile and social features
- Profile: display name, the player code used to add friends, and duel statistics (wins, losses, draws). Your display name can be visible to other signed-in players in the search and friends screens. It is not public.
- Friends: friend requests, your friends list, and players you have blocked.
- Duels: invitations, match states, live in-match scores and results. For coin stakes, your coin wallet on the server and its transaction records. This version of the app has no real-money purchases; coins are an in-game virtual unit only.
- Player search: your search query is processed on the spot and is not stored.
2.3 Leaderboard (public)
Anyone using the app can see the leaderboard, even without signing in. For each account it holds only the random alias the system generated once for your account, and your scores (physics, fun and career, plus the time of the last update). The alias is not derived from your name, e-mail or sign-in provider details, and you cannot change it. Leaderboard entries left over from older versions of the app may still contain a real name. These entries are being rewritten with aliases, and until then the app shows those names as "Oyuncu" (Player).
2.4 Game progress and on-device data
Career progress, coins, inventory, settings, the current run and the age range you choose are stored on your device. The age range (7–12, 13–17, 18–35, 36+; no date of birth is asked) is never sent to our servers. The app uses it only to pick age-appropriate question packs and to set ad settings. The app downloads question packs and game configuration from our servers.
2.5 Notifications
If you allow notifications, your device's Firebase Cloud Messaging token is saved to your account and used for friend and duel notifications. It is removed when you sign out or delete your account.
2.6 Analytics and diagnostics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to find errors. The events we send contain in-game interactions (e.g. a game starting and ending, career progress, friend and duel actions, the outcome of an ad request), the app version, platform, language and region setting, a random anonymous player ID generated on the device, and Firebase's app-instance ID. We do not send your account ID, name or e-mail to analytics. Analytics is configured not to collect the advertising ID (AAID). There is currently no in-app switch to turn analytics off. Analytics data is subject to Google Analytics' retention setting. It is not linked to your account, so it cannot be deleted for one user specifically. We do not use a crash-reporting service.
2.7 Security (App Check / Play Integrity)
We use Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity so that only the genuine app can reach our servers. It checks whether a request comes from an unmodified copy of the app installed from Google Play.
2.8 Updates
The app can download game updates from the Expo Updates service. This sends technical details such as the platform, app version and update channel.
3. Ads and consent
The app shows banner ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Ad settings follow the age range chosen on your device:
- No age range chosen, or 7–12: requests are marked as child-directed and under the age of consent, with a maximum content rating of "G" and no personalization. No consent form is shown.
- 13–17: requests are marked as under the age of consent, with a maximum rating of "PG" and no personalization. No consent form is shown.
- 18+: where required (for example in the European Economic Area), Google's consent form (UMP) is shown. Whether ads are personalized depends on the consent you give. You can revisit your ad choices in Settings (the option appears when the consent tool requires it).
No ad is requested before the consent step has finished. If the consent tool cannot be reached, the consent you gave earlier is used; if there is no stored consent either, no ad is requested in that session. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process the advertising ID, device information and your IP address. For requests marked as child-directed or under the age of consent, Google limits how this data is used under its own policies. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
4. Children and families
Magnetix Pulse is designed for players aged 7 and over. To protect children's data:
- The public leaderboard always uses a system-generated alias, never a real name.
- The player code is not shown on the public leaderboard, so strangers cannot use it to send friend requests.
- The age range is kept on the device only. If none is chosen, the app treats the player as a child and requests ads with child-safe settings.
- An account is not required; the game can be played as a guest.
Creating an account requires an e-mail address or a Google or Facebook account. We recommend that parents supervise their children's use of accounts. Parents can have an account belonging to their child deleted from inside the app or by writing to support@magnetixpulse.com.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. It is shared only with the providers we need to run the service, within the scope of their services:
| Provider | Service | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase) | Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, App Check | Accounts, game server, notifications, analytics, security |
| Google (AdMob, UMP) | Google Mobile Ads, User Messaging Platform | Ads and ad consent |
| Meta (Facebook) | Facebook sign-in (optional) | Sign-in |
| Expo | Expo Updates | Delivering app updates |
Game data is stored on Firebase servers in the European Union (Firestore: eur3, Cloud Functions: europe-west1). Providers may also process data in other countries under their own policies. Data may be disclosed to competent authorities where the law requires it.
6. Retention
- Your account, profile, friends, leaderboard entry and coin wallet are kept until you delete your account.
- Duel and match records are part of your opponents' history too, so they are kept after your account is deleted. Your profile is deleted, so your name does not appear in them; other players see "Deleted player". Only a random account ID remains in these records.
- Analytics data is subject to Google Analytics' retention setting.
- On-device data is removed when you uninstall the app, clear its data, or delete your account.
7. Deleting your account and data
In the app, go to Settings → Delete my account. Deletion happens immediately and is permanent. The Account deletion page lists what is deleted and what is kept. If you cannot access the app, write to support@magnetixpulse.com.
8. Your rights
Depending on the data protection law that applies where you live, you may have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, or object to it. Send requests to support@magnetixpulse.com. We may need to confirm that the account is yours before we act on a request.
9. Security
Connections between the app and our servers are encrypted (TLS). Access to server data is limited by security rules: for example, a player cannot change another player's profile or leaderboard entry.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
